The Total Instructional Alignment process is comprehensive: From Standards to Student Success! Lisa skillfully assists teachers and administrators in developing an in-depth understanding of the alignment process: What it means, why it is important for "all" students, what it looks like in schools and in individual classrooms and most importantly, how to achieve it in every school and in every classroom!

"Cultivating Leadership for Closing Achievement Gaps and Reasons for Cautious Optimism"
Ron Ferguson will report research findings related to key dimensions of the achievement gap challenge and address the implications of those findings for achievement gap strategy. He will summarize the progress made over the past 50 years and address aspects of the challenge related to parenting, school quality and youth culture.

The Logic of Backward Design"
We'll examine the logic of backward design and review a three-stage model for developing and aligning units and courses of study. We'll also review a practical Design Template and look at samples for unit, course designs, and curriculum mapping.
