Mary
Weck has been an educator for 35 years working as an elementary,
middle school and high school special education teacher, a school
social worker, and building and district level administrator. As
Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources part of her responsibility
was to guide the development of a differentiated evaluation system
for teachers based on Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching
. The system was the first in the country implemented using
the Framework for Teaching as the basis for defining teaching.
In addition to her work in public education, she was director of
graduate programs in Education, including education administration,
at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa .
Mary
has served as a consultant assisting numerous districts around the
United States on the use of the Framework for Teaching
to support evaluation and professional development. She has presented
at National conferences with Charlotte Danielson and has been a
national trainer and consultant with Educational Testing Service
in Princeton, New Jersey.
