The Consortium on Chicago School Research recently conducted a study on the Danielson Framework for teaching to better understand the validity of the framework for evaluating teachers. Additionally, the authors investigated principals’ perceived utility of the framework and how teachers’ perceived the fairness and effectiveness of the evaluation tool. This study is particularly useful given that states are competing for Race to the Top (RTTT) funding that requires states to be implementing teacher evaluation systems in order to receive RTTT funding.
